This fully AISI 304 stainless steel stair from the E-TR line was installed at the entrance of a corporate complex in Tuscany, designed to connect the company’s various office levels. The curved, transparent glass balustrade enhances spatial perception, amplifying natural light and allowing the structure to be appreciated in its entirety.
Following a thorough assessment of the space and the client’s functional requirements, this straight-flight stair was developed. The configuration consists of four flights interrupted by four generously sized landings (approximately 3 m x 2 m each).
The treads were manufactured using acid-etched tempered float glass to eliminate the perception of void while ascending or descending, while simultaneously conveying a sense of lightness. In response to the client’s request to avoid visible joints between the glass panels of the four landings, each landing was designed using only two large-format slabs, ensuring visual uniformity and material continuity.

Glass was also selected for the balustrade, with a different surface finish. While acid-etched tempered float glass was specified for the treads to enhance slip resistance and visual comfort, transparent tempered float glass was chosen for the balustrade to emphasize the structure’s aesthetic appeal.
Overall, the stair delivers a strong architectural impact while maintaining aesthetic balance with the surrounding space. The ascent is particularly evocative due to the building’s large perimeter glazing, which generates dynamic light reflections across the glass surfaces
